The short version
Your answers to the sixteen items are read by JavaScript running on your own device. The score, the domain counts, the error band and the worked explanations are all computed there and drawn onto the same page. Nothing has to reach us for any of that to happen, and nothing does.
What the test sends us
Nothing. There is no email field and no card field anywhere on this site, so neither an address nor payment data exists to collect. The result is drawn on the same page the moment you finish, which is why there is no submission step.
Put concretely: if you wrote to us tomorrow and asked for a copy of your answers, we could not produce them. They were never ours.

Local storage
One value is written to your browser: your last score and the time you took the test. It exists for a single purpose — so that a retake can tell you whether the change clears the reliable-change threshold rather than leaving you to guess. It never leaves your device, and clearing your browser data removes it. The cookie page names every key.
We set no analytics cookies, no advertising cookies and no third-party trackers.
Shared result links
Sharing a result produces a link with your score, raw total and four domain counts encoded into the address itself. There is no database behind it: the receiving page decodes the link and redraws the result. Anyone who has the link can read those figures, which is worth remembering before posting one publicly. Nothing else is carried — no identity, no per-item answers.
Server logs
Like any website, ours records requests: IP address, timestamp, page requested, user agent, referrer. These are used to keep the site running and to detect abuse. They are not combined with test results, because there are no test results on our side to combine them with.
The contact form
If you write to us, your message and whatever address you write from are processed by our form provider and our email host, and kept only as long as needed to deal with the correspondence. Do not send health information, and do not send test results expecting us to interpret them — we cannot, and it would be irresponsible to try.
Legal basis
For readers in the UK and EU: server logs and abuse prevention rest on legitimate interests in operating a secure site. Correspondence rests on legitimate interests in answering the person who wrote to us. Local storage is not a legal basis question in the same sense, because the value stays on your device and is not accessible to us.
Your rights
You have the usual rights of access, correction, erasure, restriction, objection and portability. In practice they apply to almost nothing here: for the test itself there is no record to access, correct or erase, because none is created. For correspondence, write to [email protected] and we will act on it.
If you are unhappy with how we respond, you can complain to your national data protection authority.
Children
The test is intended for people aged 16 and over and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from children, and given the inventory above, there is very little to collect from anyone.
Security and transfers
If you use the contact form, that provider and our email host may process data outside your country under standard contractual clauses or an equivalent safeguard. The site is served over HTTPS. No system is perfectly secure, and the strongest protection here is structural rather than technical: the sensitive data most testing sites hold does not exist on our side.
